Raychem HTS becomes Tyco Thermal Controls. (Manufacturer/Wholesaler News).(Brief Article)

In a move to recognize its expanded range of products and services, Menlo Park, Calif-based Raychem HTS, a maker of electrical heat-tracing systems, has become Tyco Thermal Controls, a unit of Tyco Flow Controls.


Officials said the new Tyco unit would be better positioned to design, manufacture and provide installation and maintenance solutions.


"Operating as Tyco Thermal Controls provides us with a larger umbrella under which we can offer an even more comprehensive range of products and services," says Jim Thompson, president of Tyco Thermal Controls.


Over the last two years, the company had acquired five companies (Accutron, Isopad, Pyrotenax, Thorin & Thorin and Tracer Industries. "Each of these acquisitions align and support our growth strategy," adds Thompson.
