The
Pacific Daily News reported earlier this month that Guam entrepreneur Dan
Duvall plans to open a new dealership that will be the first on the island to
sell Segway, LLC's two-wheeled, battery-powered Human Transporter (HT).
The
newspaper said Duvall will offer the base model of the self-balancing scooter
for $4,000, and the premium model, which is larger and more powerful, for
$5,000.
According
to the Daily News, Duvall is working with local officials to secure approval of
legislation that would allow Guam residents to
operate HTs on public sidewalks, bicycle paths, safety lanes and other
roadways, excluding highways.
