The
HTS/Bodycote Best Paper in Heat Treating Contest is open to all full- and
part-time students at universities or research and industrial establishments.
Students who have graduated in the last 18 months are eligible for the contest
as long as their paper describes work completed while still a student.
The
paper's subject matter must cover any aspect of research, development, process
or production technique relevant to heat-treating.
All submissions must be
accompanied by a statement from the candidate's supervisor or department
indicating he or she graduated in the last 18 months.
The
winner is required to present his or her paper during the Bodycote
International Annual Competition, Macclesfield ,
UK , where he
will be presented with a plaque. Two other selected finalists will also be
onsite. The winner will also be given $3,000, and the two runners-up will be
each awarded $1,250.
Bodycote will cover all travel and subsistence expenses
and no outlay will be required on the part of the winner.
