Vic: Firefighter injured in power station blaze

MELBOURNE, Jan 2 AAP - A firefighter was injured in a blaze which today engulfed a
power station in the La Trobe Valley, south-east of Melbourne, but apparently did not
interrupt supplies.

The firefighter, whose neck was burnt in a flashback, was treated on site at the Hazelwood
power plant.

The fire, which broke out about 7.50am, was contained by early this afternoon, but
the Country Fire Authority said it would be at least four hours before it was declared
safe.
